Amtrak's Texas Eagle, Train 22(21MAY) was delayed east of Little Rock, AR. account a dispatcher error. Someone at Union Pacific labeled Train 22 as a UP freight train, and UP freight train AARIN(20) was labeled as Amtrak 22. Accordingly the REAL Amtrak 22 was held at Crest for the REAL freight to run ahead of it, and then had to take siding at Branford for Amtrak Train 21.
Management in Omaha is reportedly talking with the dispatcher who made the error. It is unknown whether he is now on the s*** list or was given a productivity award. <G>

I'm wondering if UP stopped drug screening to help save money? Atleast it seems that way.
