I will be leaving on the California Zephyr on 08/27/07 going to EMY.

It will be my first train trip.

I plan to drive to Chicago on the day before and catch a few of the sights.

My question is this:

As I will be gone for about 10 days, what options does Union Station (CHI) have for parking?

Is there an attatched parking garage?

Is it expensive?

Is it safe to leave my vehicle there?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Where are you from? Maybe you'll have an option to ride local commuter train to Chicago to bypass the expensive parking lot.

There was a topic about Chicago parking last month. Unfortunately, my mouse died and can't navigate it very well with my keyboard. Hopefully, others will post the link to the topic.

Thanks for the info. I am considering catching a train in Toledo and then going to Chicago!

You could also consider parking at the Milwaukee Airport station ($5/day) and then just taking the Hiawatha into Union Station. It's probably a little out-of-your-way, but might save you a little bit of money?
