Vermonter OTP and slow orders

I saw this report regarding slow orders for the Vermonter and its poor on time performance, especially north of Springfield.

There is discussion from the Vermont Rail Council to consider lengthening the Vermonter timetable in October. If the train never arrives on time, it's probably a valid consideration, unfortunately.

The Vermonter has certainly had a poor summer in terms of OTP. If these post-derailment slow orders that were mentioned continue much longer (it's been almost a year now!), I could definitely see lengthening the schedule. The poor OTP has made it tough at times to complete my summerlong project of recording the Vermonter and Ethan Allen in every Vermont town the trains travel through.
