Want to get a Job as an Amtrak engineer

Hello All,

I'm in search of information and or, advice as to how I might land a job with Amtrak as an engineer. Currently I'm a graduate student and I expect to complete my program in June of 2009. I need to know how I should go about scoring a job with with Amtrak as an engineer. I have reviewed their website and other websites concerning amtrak jobs and the hardest thing seems to be just getting your foot in the door. Does anyone have any advice as to how I might prepare my resume or what I need to do to get a job as an egineer. I have no prior experience with railroading so basically I'm coming in as a complete newby.

Usually the best way is to enroll the college that do train program. It is getting more common that the railroad companies hire engineers from train colleges.
