What happen 4 SW chief 7 1/2 hours late

Saw a picture of it with a freight loco in front. I guess another locomotive break down. Same ole same ole.

Figuring that you are asking about SWC #4 (7/25), it lost over 4 hours between Needles CA and Kingman, AZ and then got later and later. That big of a jump in the delay suggests the usual range of possibilities: locomotive breakdown possibly with a freight locomotive substitute, freight train breakdown blocking #4, track problem or washout, grade crossing collision, medical emergency on board, etc. Take your pick. It is obvious that 4 (7/25) won't be getting into CHI until late tonight.

The good news is that EB #8(7/25) departed MSP only 37 minutes late. So, at least one of the CHI hub western LD trains is having a good run.

As I am diabetic, this is a great reminder to always bring my medication and some snacks along.

Right, it's 11 hrs 38 mins late as I'm typing this . . .

Unlucky for them.

When I rode it, it was just a 1/2 hour late into CHI.
