Looks like the train is cancelled entirely as per amtrak's website. IT doesn't show a train to be arriving in SCD (as an example) on Monday, says cancelled/Service Disruption.

On 10/9 the westbound Empire Builder, Train 7 was terminated at Everett, WA and motor coach transportation completed the journey to Edmonds and Seattle. There was an all day BNSF work window that closed the tracks. Motorcoaches were provided for the departure of Train 8 of 10/9 departing Seatle. The consist of the Empire Builder was turned, serviced and held in Everett on 10/9. There was a service notice posted to the Amtrak website a day or so in advance. The service notice has since disappeared. Doesn't seem like there was a lot of advance notice for this service disruption.

Train 8 of 10/9 will make it's stops on the way to Chicago, but unfortunately the website is not capable of dealing with a few stops being missed by the train.

Well the Amtrak status map doesnt show a East bound Train today.

and looking for tickets to book as an example... on sunday, tickets showed .. but said train not available on the date requested.
