Chicago - STL Service? Adirondack? Empire service (not likely since new 110mph track won't be installed until next year)

Any ideas? Anyone seen first hand new/upgraded track being laid?

I've been told high speed rail is now going down south of Springfield IL going into STL.

Michigan, since work is already ongoing there to get the current 95MPH line up to 110MPH. The Stimulus monies will help to speed up that work.

Work on the St. Louis - Chicago line won't start until next month, and then it's only one small portion of the line. Additionally, it's track work only. Work hasn't even started on the needed PTC.
