Well all I can say is that at least no one was hurt and no equipment was seriously damaged, we've got our fair share equipment problems as is.

Def. glad to hear of a very minor Amtrak derailment. Its always a good thing to hear "no injuries" at the end of a news report. :)

Nothing on the all news radio station here in Detroit about it. Battle Creek is about 80 - 100 miles from my house. The speed limit in Battle Creek is probably no more then 30MPH. They got the train off and running with it only being 2hours and 8 minutes late into Chicago, so it must have been a pretty easy and simple clean up. It happened after the station stop in Battle Creek, but not far after.

"No injuries", not even the ole' famous neck and back ones, huh? Just another point to prove how safe our trains are compared to other modes.

Wonder if there is anything to that it happened on Elm Street?! Elm Street has a notorious reputation. Now it affects not only teenagers but trains, too.
