I was lucky this year....went to Texas.,Min.,Was.,N.Y,& New Orleans...& enjoyed all the trips very much. :D

I mite be nuts"[but] with the money we'er pouring into this "iffy" war & rebuilding of this "other" country,could'nt we put everyone to work rebuilding our own cities,roads,rail,ports ect. ect....is it just me??

I have to agree that watching as the train go'es into & out of tunnels & around curve's is fun from the back of the train...also sleeping rooms & meals!! B)

acouple weeks ago we were about 30 or 40 min. early into New Orleans on train #59.I didn't want to get there that early[with a sleeper],but it was a great trip! :lol:

Thanks...good advice Alan,I will board the train and ask the attendent to move me if there is another room empty.If not,the # 9 will work ok,but I'll try to be more carefull next time.The lower rooms sound ok to,but do you get the same view?I guess whats nice about train travel "is", you have...

Will the attendent expect a tip for this service, or will I be better off waiting till the trips over to tip[for the level of service]provided?
