We're in car 0540 on the California Zephyr westbound from Chicago on Dec 28. What can anyone tell me about these cars? How are they different from a regular Superliner Sleeper?

I have seen reports that the sightseer lounge has been missing on the California Zephyr. Does this happen often? What replaces it for cafe service and viewing? We're on the #5 westbound on Dec 28 and certainly hope there's on on our train.

#5 arrived in Denver 11 hours late today, and #6 arrived in Chicago 4-1/2 hours late tonight. Any news of what causing these delays? Even if the weather's bad west of Denver should that affect the Chicago to Denver run?

Is the City of New Orleans still a Superliner? If so, where does the Flexible Dining service occur? In the dining car, which is then closed off for coach passengers, and the kitchen is non-functioning? That would be a pretty depressing sight, remembering the cooked from scratch meals I have...
