    Are items such as towels, bath soap etc. provided in the sleeper?

    I'm trying to pack my carryon and i just wanted to know what items are provided in the Sleeper. Is it sort of like a hotel with towels, soap, shower caps etc. Provided? If anyone knows what items are provided i'd greatly appreciate it if you could let me know. Thank you. :)

    Are meals served at particular times on the train? And also are the beds set up and put away at particular times? I'm really not a morning person, i don't really wake up early unless i have too ( i tend to have trouble sleeping...so it tough to wake up early). Please let me know... My trip...

    What Type of ID ( if any) is needed?

    I read somewhere that they don't check ID and somewhere else that they do. Which is correct? I assume they would check to match the name on the ticket to the photo ID. Also, I read that there are random ticket checks. So does that mean i need to walk around with my ticket, or just go get it...

    How safe are the items i leave in my rommette/sleeper

    I am taking a long trip to SF from NY. I will have a sleeper from Chicago to California I don't have a lot of stuff, but the most valuable thing i own in my laptop and i am very worried about how safe it will be in the sleeper.     I am planning a long trip from NY to California. There is a transfer from Chicago with a four hour wait to the next train. Do the trains work like the planes, in that your checked baggage will be transferred to the next train for you? When i get to California, then i have to switch to a bus...
