12 days of national train day.

Have you noticed that national train day this year, may 12 was also 12 days after amtraks birthday???? Wouldn't it be cool if amtrak had the "12 days of national train day"? And like each day they could have a different heritage engine/equipment. I just thought that would be cool.

May 12 is 11 days after May 1, just like May 2 is 1 day after May 1.

On topic, I doubt they have the money for so many celebrations. In addition, spreading the crowds over 12 days would mean that the exhibits would be empty most of the time.

That is not including may 12, may 12 is a day with celebrations. If you don't include the 12th, yes you are right. (just like the weekend is 2 days)

6 bedrooms in a Viewliner is almost the whole car! 4 or 5 at most.

Well, 5 bedrooms is half super liner, so 10 would be the max, if the super liner top floor and view liner are the same?

And with a lounge car that would be 5 max. I actually like that idea, a lounge sleeper. They should have that for coach as well, and the they could put a coach/ lounge on the cardinal.

Fair enough - 5 bedrooms in one half of the car and a comfortable little lounge on the other...... kind of like the old Seaboard Sun Lounges!
