Well Folks,

When I was at CUS tonight, I rode in on 6(26) with a Friend from

Princenton. He missed 30(28), so I went with him down to Passenger

Services, when we got there it was a horrible Mess Passengers from 48

(28) which was canceled screaming at the top of there lungs because

there was no alternative Transportation (Where's the Cardinal when you

need it)and Passengers from 6(26). It was horrible there was the Line

Streching out the door, Past the QuickTrak's thru the Ramp to almost

the Great Hall. They had Amtrak Police there for a croud Control it

was a near Riot. I understand why Amtrak didn't provide alternative

Transportation all the way to New York but at the very least they

should have provided it to Cleveland or Buffalo. Later Found out that they wanted to hold 30(28) and run it on 48(28) Timetable but Chicago didn't do it.

According to the Amtrak website, updated as of 4:30 PM today, they are running the train to Syracuse, NY. This is the same info provided by Amtrak as of last night, that the LSL would run as far as Syracuse.

Here's the quote from the current Press Release.

The daily New York City-Chicago Lake Shore Limited will continue to operate daily between Syracuse, NY and Chicago only during the track outage.
Which is much the same as yesterday's press release.
