Amtrak book

Has anyone on this forum read the book on Amtrak (and by extension general passenger rail issues) by James McCommons titled "Waiting On A Train" published in 2009? If so, would she or he recommend it?

One very good book. It is part of my railroad libary.

I have indeed read the book you are asking about, ironically while I was traveling on Amtrak in 2012. It is a good book, by no means a Pulitzer winner, but informative and related to those who would have an interest in US passenger rail and all things Amtrak. It is, IMHO, a bit out-dated now and talks a lot about issues which are no longer relevant. Then again, some of the issues contained in the book remain even today.

Either way, I do not regret reading it.
