Sending this in to Amtrak Corporate Today:
Clearly "under the influence" person hops on Acela out of Union Station DC.; quiet car perpendicular to me. Has no ticket. Thankfully, Conductor was timely in checking for valid tickets as soon as we left the station. Argues he has a ticket (says Acela first, then MARC, then 50 dollar Amtrak Gift Card; then he has no ID, etc.....) for 20 minutes. He is advised he needs to get off at BWI (next stop). Vapes and locks himself in bathroom when conductor briefly walks away to summon help and finish checking passengers in car. Plus, he wants to de escalate. Bathroom door forced open with universal key after Conductor and Police Knock and Announce several times. "Passenger" is brought from the quiet car to the area between Quiet Car and First Class by Amtrak Police. Subdued without restraint. Clearly could have been arrested for assault as well as trespass. Amtrak Police escorted him off at BWI and brought him into ticket center. Excellent job keeping everyone safe and comfortable in what could have been a violent and "You Tube" Moment situation.
