Amtrak got a little plug on nationally syndicated morning talk radio program "The Stephanie Miller Show" this morning.
Steph was conducting a phone interview from her studio in New York with Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz, Representative from the Commonweath of Pennsylvania.
During the course of the interview the garbled sound of a public address system could be heard in the background during some of Congresswoman Schwartz's statements. At the end of the interview, Steph jokingly thanked her for calling in from the scene of a hostage crisis. Representative Schwartz laughed and explained that she was calling from on board a train. Steph's producer Chris Lavoie in Los Angeles then jumped in, stating the Congresswoman was taking "the great American service known as Amtrak."
It was a nice, genuine promo for Amtrak on one of the leading progressive talk radio shows in the country.
