Effective January 1, 2010 Amtrak now owns 63 stations out of 459 structured-stations. Of right now, Amtrak has 481 stations/stops across the America.

They just added a new stop in Washington State so make the new number to 482.

What is the difference between 459 structured stations & 481 stops, a building????

Either that, or using an example of "Greensboro, NC (Winston-Salem)" - maybe they count 3 cities! Or maybe "Maricopa, AZ (Phoenix)" is counted as 2 cities!

But I think it's Thruway bus stop. San Francisco alone has 5 or 6!

No Thruway buses for Maricopa/Phoenix, you are on your own.

Well, one positive spin on the winter weather is "Amtrak: we're adding new stops every week for your convenience -- like Middle-of-Snowbank, Nebraska!"
