An Ontime Monday at Chicago

I don't know what happened over the weekend but #4, 6, & 8, are all estimated to arive into Chicago US early and #22, 29 and 49 under 30 minutes late.

As for the trains being on time into Chicago -- I'll never forget my introduction to "Amtrak Time."

It was circa 1978, on the "Chessie Steam Special." For whatever reason we were late. I was in the souvenier car. "How late are we?" I asked one of the NRHS(I think) clerks.

"Oh, we're on-time -- Amtrak time," one replied.

"What's that?"

"The time you say plus or minus 24 hours."

Early arrivals are normal for #4 and #8.

Anything less than one hour late is exceptional and noteworthy for #6 since it doesn't happen all that often.

Well Folks 4 it arrives early or ontime 4-7 Days a week in Chicago. 8 is fairley common. We consider 6 ontime if it is under 1:20 Late.
