Baggage check in Chicago

Found AMTRAK ticketing on the map of Union Station but the baggage check. Do you check your bags at the ticket counter? Also can you get carts to haul your bags someplace?

Baggage check is to the right side of the Amtrak ticket windows in Chicago.

No carts in Chicago, the station is way too busy for that.

There are "Smart Carts" (there may be a fancy, silent "e" in their name somewhere, not sure) you can rent to move your bags within the station, and you can also get a red cap to help you with your bags.
