Breakfast on CZ eastbound

The TE departs SAS at 7AM and serves breakfast about 7:30A.

It does now but this was a relatively recent change. Previously lunch was the first meal on a Northbound Texas Eagle departing SAS at 7AM.

Slight correction Chris:Since the #21 Diner Crew detrained and layed over in Austin on the way to SAS, a Boxed Breakfast similar to those served on the Portland Section of the Empire Builder was served by the SCA to Sleeping Car Passengers after leaving SAS on #22.

You probably remember when "Dinner"on #21 was only 1 setting with service started @430pm and ended by the Taylor stop before Austin due to this wierd policy by Amtrak.

The 98 Silver Meteor out of Miami serves breakfast at least as far along as Deerfield Beach and probably as far as West Palm Beach.

Last month my wife and I boarded at 9:15 am, a few minutes late from the scheduled time, and were advised by the SCA that breakfast was being served and indeed, it was!
