Hi all

Can some one advise whether the the California 21 day rail pass covers the Coast Starlight andother interstate trains or is it just those services referred to as California Amtrak

It appears to be Amtrak California only: Surfliners, Capitols, San Joaquins, and connecting bus routes.

California Rail Pass

The California Rail Pass is good on the Coast Starlight between LAX and Dunsmuir only. If you go north of Dunsmuir, then you must pay the fare from Dunsmuir to your destination, while the rail pass will cover the fare to Dunsmuir.

The rail pass is not valid on the Southwest Chief, Sunset Limited, Texas Eagle, or the California Zephyr.

And of course it is valid on all California sponsored trains.
