Checked luggage & bustitutions

We are traveling from DEN to WFH next weekend and want to check the majority of our luggage. I am curious how the checked baggage is handled if the CS is running late and we get bussed to catch up to the EB out of PDX. Will they take the time to put all of the checked luggage destined for the EB on to the buses or will it stay on the train and make it to Whitefish the following day?

If there is a bustitution, Amtrak will transfer all the necessary checked bags to the busses. It may not be 100% sure that they will get all (It may be 99.9999999999%) buy they will try. Either way, the bags will get to your destination!
