Children's meals in sleepers

My 8 year old son and I have a roomette booked from Jackson, MS to Homewood, IL. Does he qualify for the free meals or do I buy his out of pocket?

You both will have your meals comped, there is a children's menu with more kid-friendly selections.

Soft beverages, breakfast sides, and desserts are included as well.

Both people in the room (You and your Son) will get 3 meals a day in the dinner.

I have seen that good boys who talk to a friendly conductor during stations stops may get a chance to see the P42 cab while its blue-flagged.

On the CZ in June stopped at DEN this old railfan and I stood on the platform and watched as he took three Amish girls up to the cab. On the way back we asked him why we didn't get a tour.

... He didn't answer that question.
