Not directly, unless you could somehow prove that someone left the car there on purpose in order to derail the train. I assumed that it was at least reckless endangerment, but I found this, which indicates that "obstruction of a railroad" is a crime in and of itself.Can Amtrak prosecute this as attempted manslaughter of "x" people, where x = the number of passengers and train crew?
