Due to NS track work, which they do every year, the Crescent will not run south of Atlanta either way Monday through Thursday each week. It will operate the whole route Friday through Sunday

I'm not exactly sure when the track work begins, but one can't book to NOL, on Train #19, on the Sunday through Wednesday departures out of NYP. Seems to begin sometime in mid-January, until Wednesday 2/15 - when booking is possible.

Now that I checked what I had, they are starting Monday 1/9 but I don't have an end date. What you've found is consistent with that. Sun-Wed NYP departure = Mon-Thurs south of ATL.
