#19 Arrived at Charlottsville at 852 PM yesterday. 2 bad power cables were found on the consist. They were temporarily repaired and the train left at 202 AM this morning. No engines were sent from Washington. Passengers were taken to a local diner until the train was ready for departure.
It was finally determined that 2 480 volt cables, 1 on the baggage car plus 1 on a Viewliner blew up causing the problem. At 130am the 480 was restored to the train, the train departed Charlottesville at 202am proceeding to Lynchburg to pick up a NS SD40-2 to add for power all the way to New Orleans.
Train is currently 8 hours and 7 minutes late.
I'm gonna head down there and try to grab a couple shots later today if I can make it.
