If the CTA doesn't get the funding they need, the worst case scenario is that ALL buses and trains would operatre on a Sunday schedule. I lived in Chicago for many years and the Sunday schedules are really inconvenient - it takes about twice as long to get where you need to go. Plus they would raise the cash fare for bus rides I believe to $2 and there would be NO cash transfers.
I really hope they can find a way to provide them with the funding, but with Illinois having such a large deficit, who knows!
