Eagle/Sunset..what's with the 7 hour delay?

What's going on with #2/422 today? Looks like its arriving at San Antonio at 5AM, almost 7 hrs. late. I planned to go on this train in December, but recent extreme tardiness into CHI is making me rethink that trip.

You would still make the 22 connection. 22 doesn't leave til like 8AM or so.

i dont know but a member of this forum, racer, i believe was on that train. Maybe he/she will give us an update.

This particular train was held for a total of more than four hours between LAX and Yuma, AZ due to a combination of freight congestion, a broken rail, and waiting for a recrew (the recrew delay was minimal, the rest was due to UP-related problems).

The train then encountered another couple of hours worth of delay east of Tucson for freight congestion and waiting for another recrew.
