minot,nd is a service stop for the eb and we discovered when we were through last week that in the minot station on their brochure rack they have free, very detailed eb route guides. one for minot to fort union, one for williston to glasgow, and one for devils lake to minot. wonderful, detailed, historical info which added to our trip. well worth braving the cold to pick up.

WHY NOT MINOT!

Its well worth taking the time and go into the nice little station at minot. When i rode the builder several years ago i found lots of interesting travel guides and state maps in the waiting room and all of them were free. Also on my recent west coast trip i found drinks and snacks were much cheaper in the depots than they are on the train. Many passengers were buying their snacks in the stations especally on the southwest chief and taking them back on board with them.
