Is there a reason why there is not a chart that can calculate point/fare redemption online? The only way to determine the number of points is to pick up the phone, and that service is not available on weekends, correct?

With so many promo codes available, are your agents aware of all promotions and do they inform the callers?

The rewards chart can indeed be found online at the AGR site or by clicking here. And yes, you are correct that agents aren't available on the weekends to handle award reservations or questions.

As for your final question, that I can't answer since this site is not run by Amtrak or Amtrak's Guest Rewards Program. Please note the disclaimer at the very bottom of this page. This is a privately owned site that was established to help people get answers to questions that aren't readily available elsewhere. Most of the people who post here do not work for Amtrak and are simply here to discuss Amtrak and to try and help first timers figure out Amtrak and how to ride it. There are a few people who do post here that actually work for Amtrak, but they do that on their own time and not in any official capacity.

So again, what the agents are aware of or not is very hard for us to say. I would expect that most aren't aware of all the promotion though, especially since many are targeted anyhow.
