Here we are in the Metropolitan lounge spending a few hours waiting for the CONO. The Amtrak staff just fenced off the section close to the sliding exit doors. They stuck a hand made sigh on it which says, "Pullman Group only please". It will be wonderful to see the Pullman cars later this evening.

I recently took a trip (in the front of the train) with the Pullman cars in the back. I got to talking with a Pullman employee, who looked to be the conductor, while he was inspecting the under-carriage of the cars during the stop in Jackson.

I asked about the consist, and whether the Chicago-NY route would ever get going. He said that two such trips on the LSL were scheduled for this Fall. He also said they should show up on the website. But as of now, the website doesn't mention them.
