I will be taking the eastbound Lake Shore to New York next month for the first time in several years. I know there will be breakfast and lunch, but is there any food service between Albany and New York?
Everyone at Amtrak management knows the millennials don't eat at regular hours because they are too busy smoking pot at dinner time so have the late night munchies when the train has already arrived or when the diner and cafe are closed.I blame it on the millennials.
In situations like that (also at WAS), are you allowed to continue eating in the diner if you got your meal before the HEP went out, or is everyone kicked out? There is a period of time in Albany where the train has no power. The P32 comes off, and the Boston section is added, along with its P42 units. I usually leave from NYP, but did board in Albany once, I don't recall any long delay in the diner service resuming.
Actually, that sounds like a good plan. I can grab something in the lounge which will carry me over to a late dinner.Since the train leaves NY pretty late in the afternoon, I usually grabbed something in NYP while waiting, and looked for later dinner times in general
