Thanks. Great pictures. Amtrak did a nice job on those Superliner I's.

is that little bar area in the sightseer lounge ever going away? i've never seen it used, other than as a glorified charging station.

EB sometimes has a guy up there selling sodas and candy-- takes some of the pressure off the SA with the mircrowave downstairs.

Looks lovely!

I'll seriously have to considering giving my beloved Toasters a rest during my next trip and scoop in some long haul stuff!!!

Does anyone know how long those 'roomette' beds are? I'm 6'4.

Thanks so much for these! IMO, Amtrak should be paying you to put them on their website! They give so much better idea of the available accommodations than the views they currently have. I've used your pictures several times in the past to explain sleepers to friends thinking of taking the train.

That diner isn't refurbished. It is actually impressively unrefurbished, given that it still has carpeting on the ceiling.

These 360-degree photos are top rate! Absolutely beautiful. The Superliner II Sightseer Lounge you photographed seems to have one of the best refurbishment treatments I've seen.

GREAT photos.

How's the equipment on the Empire Builder these days? That is their "premier" train...I know it was refurbished at relaunch (i think) but that was a few years ago. I think I heard rumors from here that the equipment was getting pulled and spread around.

The Builder generally still gets the Refurbished Superliner I sleepers. The only time it doesn't is if there is a last minute substitution and there are no other refurbed cars available.

But there are many more refurbed Superliner I sleepers than the EB needs, so those cars do show up on other routes.
