New Member Intro

[VIAmtrak]

Hi All,

Thought I'd intro myself...an Amtrak fan here from NJ (though transiting NYP via NJTransit daily), who finally is getting around to signing up here.

A few interesting trips under my belt...first Amtrak trip was October 2008, NYP-MTR-NYP with the Great Dome one way. Did the Crescent and Sunset NYP-CVS (emergency medical stop due to an allergic reaction in the dining car)-NOL-LAX in March 2010 for a Spring Break, entirely in coach (an experience on so many levels). Another memorable one was a second run on the Adirondack last November, during the VIA equipment realignment (the inspiration for my username). A bunch trips on the Pennsylvanian, Empire Service, and Northeast Regional on top of that, and some plans for 2013.

Have heard about this forum from people onboard and other railfans, so thought it was time I joined!
