A Norfolk Southern freight derailed north of Anniston a few hours ago. Unfortunately, that is single-track territory, meaning that the Crescent cannot get through. It is now about 14.5 hours late. People are being bussed, at least as I understand it, and the consist will be sent through in the early morning, or whenever everything has been cleaned up. This is why it's good the Crescent has four consists.
