From the Staten Island, NY Advance, 5/20/03:

Penn Station evacuated, service halted because of suspicious passengerNEW YORK (AP) -- Penn Station was partially evacuated and some train service halted Tuesday afternoon after authorities received a report of a suspicious man aboard an Amtrak train from Washington, D.C., an Amtrak spokesman said.
Better safe than sorry. Full story here.

I think now is a good time to just post this again. Folks it's Memorial Day weekend, a busy travel time, and a good prospective time for terrorism. We all are on the lookout for anything suspicious. If you, see or hear anything suspicious report it to Amtrak Police at (800) 331-0008. If you hear or see it on board a train, I would advise that you report it to an Attendant or the Conductor and let them handle it. This is not designed to freak people out, but just be on the lookout. I personally will travel both Saturday and Sunday, so just be on the lookout.
