A while ago I asked for input about planning a trip to celebrate my high school graduation. Well, we eventually Chose the WAS-CHI-LAX-SEA-CHI-WAS route. We left yesterday from Richmond and I am now in the Chicago Metropolitan Lounge. Train 29 was amazing and we arrived 24 minutes early! Service was good, and i got my first taste of being on the lower level of a superliner sleeper. We will board train 3 this afternoon for the trip across the southwest!

I am writing a travelogue and ill bring some updates as they occur!

This is going to be the best trip ever!

Awesome! I did the same thing after my high school graduation, route was ATL-NOL-LAX-SEA-PDX-CHI-SLC. Have a great time!

I too just graduated high school and soon I will be doing BOS-CHI-SEA. Have fun!

Interestingly, I sort of enjoyed the lower level of the Superliner sleeper the couple of times I've ridden down there. I may in fact next time request one of the lower roomettes - less foot traffic and more of a sense of privacy.
