Somehow I dropped part of title on previous post! The two trains I reference are the southbound Coast Starlight from Seattle, and east-bound Califonia Zypher to Denver. Joe
Those two trains run mostly on UPRR tracks. Up dose not like amtrak, and could care less about otp. Be prepared to be late on any train in up territory.
UPRR in general can't dispatch a railroad. It's short staffed and has so little capacity to run all their trains. Put the two together it's just a recipe for disaster. However, you can't say they're all bad. Remember the OTP for the Texas Eagle for one month this past winter was at 90% on time.
