Referral bonus applied retroactively to past trips?

I'm trying to help a family get their mom set up on AGR right now. I know you can get points for prior trips taken as a non-member as long as you call AGR within 3 weeks, but does that also apply to the referral bonus? If the son refers his mom and she calls to get her points for this trip, will they also get the 500/1500 referral bonus or does she have to take another trip for that?

I'm not sure, but it's possible! After all, if you sign up after your trip, you would still get the 500 point signup bonus - so why not the 1,500 point referral bonus? :huh:
