So I was bored one night, no internet, compiling a large file so I had limited cpu resources.

When staring at me was one of those ticket holders that I had from my trip on the CoastStarlight.

I looked at it for a while and really liked the design of it, too bad it was so small.

So spare time permitted and I vectorized it, and it really looks cool. I might turn it into a wall poster someday.

Thought I'd share with you all as you would all appreciate it better.

If any of you want any higher res, or have found more of these 50's retro style images, let me know!

Cool stuff! I love vintage. I think Amtrak should stick with the vintage design on everything. Sure, trains are just another travel option. But most people love nostalgia too. I think the designs in the late 20s and 30s were awesome. Bring em back!!!!

Go forth young man....and ride a train.

Amtrak could start by putting the "leaping Indian" back on the Hiawatha. But then if he saw what Amtrak has turned his beloved train into, he'd go elsewhere!

How about this one?
