I'm taking the empire builder from Chicago, Union Station to NY Penn. I'd like the roomette set up for the entire trip for sleeping. Is that possible?
And by leaving the Roomette in "split configuration" you still have the option to use the seats at your leisure, but pay heed when you stand up as the bottom of the upper will be just a couple feet above you. Thanks for the info. I'm much more comfortable laying in bed, looking out the window, reading, etc.
Was that when they still did the wine and cheese/grapes reception in the Diner where the SCAs had to help serve?I have ridden the LSL east only two times, but both times the room was in daytime configuration upon boarding in CHI.
Yes to wine and cheese but no to SCAs there serving in the diner. Was that when they still did the wine and cheese/grapes reception in the Diner where the SCAs had to help serve?I have ridden the LSL east only two times, but both times the room was in daytime configuration upon boarding in CHI.
The many times I've taken #48/#448 my room was in night time configuration and I just put the bedding back up top before I went to the Diner!
*Joke* No you can't have your bed set up.. Since the EB doesn't run east of Chicago....I'm taking the empire builder from Chicago, Union Station to NY Penn. I'd like the roomette set up for the entire trip for sleeping. Is that possible?
Do you then sleep as if sitting in coach? You can have the Roomette what ever way you want it. On "short" overnights, we sometimes leave it in day mode.
