"RTL-III" Turboliners still in Bear, DE?

Is Amtrak holding onto the three remaining upgraded "RTL-III" Rohr Turboliners for any potential use or just hoping that somehow letting more years go by will make scrapping them seem less scandalous? Why are they just sitting in Bear, DE?

It seems like since the money's already been spent on 'em, it'd be better to find some use for them, even if it's in maintenance of way duty or they converted the coaches into baggage cars or something. But I'd still like to at least see one of these very unique trains preserved for public display somewhere.

Haha, I just know I've seen random old coaches mixed in with MOW equipment. I think I've seen at least one of the old Heritage coaches that had been refurbed for Adirondack service still out on the rails.

Absolute travesty. No accountability, and yet we're supposed to trust government agencies to spends billions in high speed rail funding responsibly...
