Silver Star 92 (6)

Anyone happen to know what stabbed the northbound Silver Star, train 92 of June 6th, so bad between Jacksonville and Savannah? Delay was nearly seven hours, and now down 8 hours 42 minutes as of 8:42 p.m.

Train 91 (6) was also delayed about four hours getting into Savannah. Same cause?

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- According to Amtrak, the railroad passenger corporation also felt the effects of Tropical Storm Colin.

Though the storm dissipated early Tuesday morning, trains 91 and 92 have been delayed due to flash floods and trees blocking the tracks in Savannah, according to officials.

Interesting. We are 40 miles SW of Savannah, got LOTS of rain, but no wind at all. Kept wondering when it was coming. But I did see some branches down, nothing really big. CJ

I did a real double take yesterday. Drove by our SC station and there sat the Star- around noon. By the time I turned around it was gone.

Between JAX and SAV the delay was flash flood warnings. Departing SAV, the train barely made it through Central Jct and found a large tree fouling the tracks. 92 backed up to SAV and held for open track, 91 held just north of SAV.
