Southbound Auto Train on May 17 was just canceled

Any idea why the 5/17/22 SB Auto Train was canceled?

I do see that 4 of the last 10 departures have been more than two hours late. One was 4+ hours late and another was more than 7 hours late

Probably to “reset” the equipment because of the late trains. They only have the two train sets.

After the delays described in the other Auto Train thread, it was pretty much inevitable.

Once I found the recent history, it all made sense. Of course I never looked at that when I booked the train the other day. It ended up all working out for me. Something came up this morning and I would not have been able to make the train anyway. So now I have a full refund and I can rebook when I am ready.
