Sunset Schedule

I noticed that a few years ago Amtrak added about 5 hours to the Sunset schedule between NO and Orlando. The schedule said it was temporary, but today it still takes just as long. Why hasn't the time been reduced? Hasn't the CSX closed the line to upgrade it several times already?

Who knows but it won't be any time soon and i am against those 4 ideas of how to break up the Sunset LTD to try to keep it on time.

The reason why the 5 hours wasn't taken out was that Amtrak realized it help keep the train on time so they left it in there.

But with all the track construction going on there, shouldn't schedules be a little faster? And is there any double-tracking going on anywhere from LA-Orlando currently to alleviate the mess?
