The History Channel is launching an offshoot series of "Ice Road Truckers" called "Extreme Trains"

The Acela will be featured in one of the 8 episodes int he first season.

This looks like a great series especially if done as well as Ice Road Truckers. I enjoyed the Trains Unlimited series they did back in the 90s and am looking forward to this one as well.

I want to see a reenactment of part of the USS Barb's crew planting an explosive between railroad ties. (The book Thunder Below has an excellent description of that, among other things.)

Well, the show was interesting. But the host was too upper for me. Kind of like a 5 year old; big eyes, lots of gee-whiz-Mr. Wizard remarks.

I'd watch the next one.
