I'm planning on watching the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train pass near my house on its way to Gurnee on 12/3. I'm guessing it'll be on the mainline (Metra Milwaukee North) but I suppose there's a chance it would take the EJ&E to Rondout, in which case it won't pass near home. Is there any way to know, or do I just have to take a chance?
In looking at videos of the CP holiday train, I've seen a few videos of a CSX Holiday Express. But a quick search doesn't find a reference to a 2023 holiday train on CSX's website, only earlier years. Is there a schedule somewhere online like CP, and does it go anywhere near Chicago?
