I see that there are only two trains daily connecting Vancouver,BC and Seattle. Buses add to that at better departure times for me. Are there any rumblings about added train service?

It took forever for them to resume the 2nd daily train from YVR to SEA, I don't see them starting a 3rd daily train anytime soon.
No. That was the most there were pre-COVID and that is the most for the forseeable future. It was hard enough getting just those two back.
Washington DOT's announced priority for the near future is adding more Seattle-Portland service. Not additional service to Vancouver, nor cross-state service. Due to the current equipment shortage, even more SEA-PDX service cannot be considered until Washington's new Venture sets are delivered around 2025/26

Amtrak doesn't serve Vancouver International Airport (YVR). It serves Pacific Central Station, VAC (VCVR for VIA)
