Way to give Amtrak eVoucher to charity?

I have a $270 Amtrak eVoucher, am Select Plus and will not take Amtrak again.

Is there any lawful way to give the voucher to charity?

If not, I’ll just let it expire.

I would contact a charity that you support and ask them. RPA is a charitable organization. Possibly they could use it for rail advocacy purposes.

eVouchers cannot be transferred. The name on the ticket has to match the name on the voucher.

• One or more eVouchers containing the same name can be used to pay for a reservation as long as the eVoucher name matches the full name of one of the travelers in the reservation. This can be accomplished either while logged in or as a guest by manually entering the eVoucher number(s) at the time of purchase.
• If your refund involves issuance of an Amtrak eVoucher: eVouchers that are bought, sold, auctioned or transferred to or from a third party are prohibited and the value will be confiscated and voided and travel will not be permitted. By redeeming an eVoucher the Passenger named on the eVoucher acknowledges the content of these Amtrak eVoucher terms and conditions and agrees to abide by them.
