We have a total of 4 roomettes reserved on the Crescent. I was looking through the Timetable and read somewhere you can take two rookettes and make a suite out of them for four persons. I didn't see this option on www.amtrak.com. Does anyone here have experience with making a suite with two roomettes and is it the same price as two roomettes?

The way roomettes are configured, it would be impossible to convert them to a suite.....
Only the bedrooms can be opened into a suite.
And there only two of them per Viewliner car.(The H room is stand alone with no connections.) Kinda hard to book both together unless you try way ahead. As said, the roomettes have no way of connecting. Just some history on "roomettes"~ on the pre-Amtrak RR's the roomettes had only one seat to sit in. The other seat was your toilet with a pull down sink on top. They were designed for and only held one person. The Slumbercoaches had double rooms but it was in the fading days of pax service.
